Offshore Wind IGERT 2018 Poster Session

The NSF IGERT Offshore Wind Energy Engineering, Environmental Science, and Policy Program began at UMass Amherst in the fall of 2011. Since then we have brought in 30 excellent PhD students, pursuing degrees in seven departments and three colleges across campus.

At this event students will present posters showcasing the wide range of research that is proposed or currently underway, from helping stakeholders visualize the many aspects involved in siting wind development projects, to sustainable energy education, to robust design optimization of floating wind turbines, to tracking movement patterns of birds and bats in the Gulf of Maine and Nantucket Sound.

Please take this opportunity to meet with IGERT students, as well as to network with other people interested in the many aspects of offshore wind energy development. At the event there will be hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
