Wind Energy Fellows

The Wind Energy Fellows is a program for graduate students studying areas with relevance to wind energy. We are interested in students from a wide range of fields, including environmental sciences, social sciences, science, and engineering.  It is intended primarily for PhD students at UMass Amherst. However, exceptional Master's students will be considered.  If you are a Master's student, we strongly recommend that your faculty advisor contact us about eligibility.  For all application-related questions, contact:

 How to Apply

1)  From the student: A letter of application letting us know about your research interests and your desire to be part of an interdisciplinary community of researchers interested in clean energy; also a recent transcript (unofficial OK).

2)  From the faculty advisor: A letter of support indicating the excellence of the student, their interest in clean energy and openness to interdisciplinary interaction. As we expect advisors to participate in our community, a statement of commitment to attend seminars and the annual wind energy poster session, and to collaborate on research projects as appropriate should be included.
