IGERT Fellow William La Cava is spending the summer at the Laboratory of Agent Modelling (LabMAG), a laboratory of the Institute for Complexity Sciences hosted at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. He is studying classifier systems for developing agent-based models of bald eagles based on observational data collected by IGERT fellow Blake Massey. While there, Bill also presented at the Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO), where his paper "Genetic Programming with Epigenetic Local Search" was nominated for a best paper award.
