On Tuesday April 7^th, 2015 the UMass IGERT Offshore Wind Energy Program featured its third annual poster session. The work of 21 IGERT fellows and faculty was showcased to a broad spectrum of visitors including representatives from industry and Beacon Hill and an excellent showing from the university at large.  The full purview of the Offshore Wind Energy IGERT was well represented with posters pertaining to: ecologic impact of turbine micro-siting, optimization of the decision process for offshore wind array placement, and numerical and experimental design of structural components. In addition to offering guests an appraisal of the current state of cutting-edge research, the evening proved to be successful at spurring new outreach and collaboration efforts as well.
