Three new IGERT Fellows have joined our program this fall, bringing the total number of students to 30.  They are Destenie Knock, coming from North Carolina A & T State University via Queens College in Belfast, Northern Ireland;  Rebecca Sokoloski, who recently completed her Master’s Degree at California State University San Marcos; and Joshua Watson, who has done his undergraduate and master’s degrees here at UMass Amherst.  Destenie’s faculty advisor is Erin Baker in the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department; Rebecca’s advisor is Ezra Markowitz in Environmental Conservation; and Joshua is with James Manwell and Jon McGowan, also in the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department.
