IGERT Fellow Pam Loring spent the summer tagging more than 100 terns and erecting 40-foot antenna towers from Cape Cod to Montauk to track the birds. Her tower on scenic Napatree Point in Westerly, Rhode Island caught the attention of the local newspaper, which interviewed Loring about her research for a recent article.
