Katherine started her PhD in Civil Engineering in fall 2020, with Dr. Arwade as her advisor. She has a B.S. in Ocean Engineering with a minor in Sustainability from the Florida Institute of Technology. She worked at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division in their survivability department for 3 years prior to commencing her studies at UMass.
